Tokhi teaches percussions and improvisation. Next to his purely musical activities, he works as a DrumCircle facilitator leading workshops for companies, schools and at festivals. He is the founder of a drum orchestra basing on the principle of world samba bands from Brasilian Rio de Janeiro.

A percussionist successful on Czech as well as international level, Tokhi has loved making music since childhood. He has cooperated with many artists from all over the world, just to name a few: Karel Gott, Pavel Šporcl, Jana Koubková, Vlasta Redl, Ilona Csáková, Laura a její tygři, UDG, Pavel Fajt, Emil Viklický, 100°C, Shahab Tolouie, Feng Yun Song, Vesna Caceres, Mário Bihári, Ondřej Ruml, Work – Shop & More and many others.

In the Heart of Europe, Tokhi is the only direct student of the Indian guru Manan Sharma, whose family has been making Tibetan bowls for many years. He is also an international endorser of Meinl and their range of singing bowls, as well as the “Sonic Energy” gong, which the company sells all over the world.

Newest project builds upon the principles of Brazilian samba incorporating further aspects in it. The group (20 drummers and a leader) uses typical Brazilian instruments (surdo, caixa, caxixi, pandeiro, tamborim, ganza, timba). Next to the classical samba baterria rhythms, they integrate also modern beats inspired by hip hop, r’n’b, and grooves and rhythms from all over the world. Group drumming or so called DrumCircle is one of the oldest forms of team work development. Already in the times of old Mesopotamia, the tribes would drum together at the most important celebrations, decision-making and other events. In these meetings, drums were used to increase concentration, draw attention to the topic and to bring people together and gave a common experience.
